I'm not so sure about this, but it was necessary on my
machine.

For some reason (correct or not I don't know), 'grub-probe -t device /'
returns TWO entries:

        /dev/sda1
        /dev/sdb1

This on a ZFS filesystem, where those two are a mirror.
