A mini.iso is still usable, but you are seeing the error message because: > Download _all_ installer components That's probably not a good idea. Most people need no extra d-i modules at all. Or it is expected the user picks only a few items from the list as necessary. Some of the choices have side effects: cdrom-checker cdrom-detect load-cdrom load-iso load-media iso-scan any of these could make the installer look on the mini.iso for Debian packages (which it does not contain) or another .iso file which is also not there. The mini.iso still works okay if I select all components except for those listed above. Although it tries to begin an automated Debian Edu install next... really those components should not be chosen unless you want to use them. > Btw. is there a reason for the oldish kernel 8.3?
