Machine: Lynxpoint test system Processor: Intel Xeon Memory: 8GB Partitions: 500 GB SATA harddisk Output of lspci -knn (or lspci -nn): Don't reach that far Base System Installation Checklist: [O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it Initial boot: [O] Detect network card: [E] Configure network: [ ] Detect CD: [ ] Load installer modules: [ ] Detect hard drives: [ ] Partition hard drives: [ ] Install base system: [ ] Clock/timezone setup: [ ] User/password setup: [ ] Install tasks: [ ] Install boot loader: [ ] Overall install: [ ] Comments/Problems: Netinstall CD boots until the point where it needs to load the kernel modules for the NICs in the system. Then a message "Kernel modules missing" is displayed and there is no way to get the network cards working. The sad end of a network install attempt. Probably something during building that daily testing image went wrong. Regards Rainer -- Dipl.-Inf. (FH) Rainer Koenig -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
