Hi! Five years ago you reported this bug. Unfortunately, I have no idea what might have caused it. This bug can't be caused only by console-setup. I suppose there was something wrong with the way console-setup interacted with other packages in the system. Or maybe there was some hardware problem. So, I would like to ask you -- are you still able to reproduce this bug? If not, then it will be better to close this bug report as nothing similar has been reported during the years.
