Dear Maintainer, I'm porting d-i onto a few Buffalo Linkstation NAS devices recently. Linkstation's u-boot loader loads kernel/initrd from 1st partition of the disks, which only recognize metadata=0 (or so-called 0.90) for RAID-1 case. But as you know currently partman-md can only create metadata=1.2, so I have to type: mdadm --create /dev/md0 --level=1 --raid-devices=2 -e 0 /dev/sda1 /dev/sdb1 to create the /dev/md0 manually. BTW. partman-md can create the rest /dev/md1, /etc/md2, etc, without problem. So I ask you to support specify the metadata style when creating the RAID. Thank you!
