Hi, in order to workaround bug #254996 I've prepared a custom base-installer with a slightly modified postinst script.
The custom version of package resides in the "local" component of the repository on the CD-ROM, that means it's Package entry is in: /cdrom/dists/sarge/local/debian-installer/binary-i386/Packages and the file is located in: /cdrom/pool/local/b/base-installer/ while the official version of the package is not included in the "main" sections, that means it's not listed in: /cdrom/dists/sarge/main/debian-installer/binary-i386/Packages nor present in: /cdrom/pool/main/b/base-installer/ The /cdrom/.disk/base_components file includes both components: main local However anna and the menu complain that base-installer is not present: Nov 10 08:34:17 anna[3217]: DEBUG: resolver (base-installer): package doesn't exist (ignored) [..] Nov 10 08:34:21 main-menu[347]: DEBUG: resolver (base-installer): package doesn't exist (ignored) [..] Nov 10 08:34:26 main-menu[347]: DEBUG: resolver (base-installer): package doesn't exist (ignored) [..] Nov 10 08:34:43 main-menu[347]: DEBUG: resolver (base-installer): package doesn't exist (ignored) [..] Nov 10 08:34:47 main-menu[347]: DEBUG: resolver (base-installer): package doesn't exist (ignored) How do you fix this?
