Well, given the highest level of information you provide, I'm afraid noone can do anything. It seems that your hard disk wasn't detected but as we have no idea of the interface your system has, finding a solution may be quite hard. Please provide us with the output of "(lspci�; lspci -n) | sort". This may be done by booting another Linux system, or the Knoppix LiveCD.
