You should be able to leave the network unconfigured and proceed to 
partitioning. When you get to partitioning, switch to VT2 or start a 
shell from the main menu of the installer. You should then be able to 
mount your harddisks using /dev/discs/...  as the divice (the installer 
uses devfs).
