Thanks for the reply, here's what I get: "Alt-F3"
Mke2fs 1.35 28-feb-2004 Warning: could not read block 0: attempt to read block from filesystem resulted in short read Ext2fs_mkdir: attempt to read block from filesystem resulted in short read While creating root dir "Alt-F4" Main-menu[505]: DEBUG: virtual package harddrive-detection To be honest I don't think it is a fault with the installer, although Win9x / 2000 Install fine on this hardware I think the relative age of this system is the problem - Perhaps the 2.4 / 2.6 Series kernels are just a bit too 'advanced' for this machine. It's a shame though because I have debian running on an Xbox, an Athlon Xp 3200, a Dell Laptop, a debian based distro on an iPaq PDA, and on a Cobalt Qube 2! Debian just makes great hardware even better!! Cheers Nick -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
