In the Netherlands is 'Jewel' a computer brand that advertises[3] they sell hardware without a Microsoft Operating System[2] In Germany is it's more common to buy just hardware[1], so there it will be easier to find "GPL Hardware". Back to 'Jewel'. At http://www.linux-on-laptops.com is entry to Jewel any more. http://www.linux-on-laptops.com/other.html does a pointer to a Jewel Topaz 9500 laptop, but it is the same Intel Wifi chipset, so the Jewel option back be dropped. http://www.linux-on-laptops.com/other.html does also mention LinuxCertified ( http://www.linuxcertified.com/linux_laptops.html ) I don't known how much GPL in their hardware is. The thing I'm trying to tell is Buy "GPL Hardware"! [4] Cheers Geert Stappers [1] No obligatesions to buy a Microsoft Operating System [2] also known as Microsoft Tax [3] You can buy plain hardware in the Netherlands, but you have explicit to ask for leaving out the MS products. [4] You are free to stay with your current hardware ... -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
