Honestly, I absolutely don't remember. From memory I would say that, back in the times I wrote the changes that lead to localechooser and introduced the locale preseeding stuff, all kinds of preseeding had been tested. But, really, I wouldn't bet too much on this. That part of code is really complicated because we want to achieve some pretty complicated goals even though I think that the current logic is the most versatile one, while being the most practical to use for users. --
