Most packages in the Debian archive depend/suggest/recommend on deboostrap an no t on cdebootstrap. Thus it is somewhat like the "default" bootstrapping tool. It should provide support for signed release files as cdebootstrap does. Or it should be replaced by cdebootstrap.
