Good timing -- I finally got round to doing a backup-restore.udeb today which I've been thinking about for ages (mine's aimed at backuppc, and is _very_ rudimentary so far, but I'd like it to be more general) My approach is currently to have a udeb that takes over base-installer's role, which if it works out should work via a preseeding hack for now (using etch media, and downloading the extra udeb from elsewhere) but I think it would be nice to have it as an optional, to be downloaded, udeb available via d-i's menus (presumably via expert mode) It would seem like a good idea to allow for other drop-in functionality so that other people can provide udebs without them ever getting onto normal install media, or perhaps only on some class of "fat" d-i builds Cheers, Phil. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
