Thanks to Laurent Jousse, Etch Debian is installed on the Toshiba.
It was no so easy :
After the first install (with the option acpi=off) it was impossible to restart
Grub (error 18) and Laurent Jousse was obliged to do a second install with a
boot partition .
It's no the end of my installation's problems.
Now the usb port is not working and I can not read CD.
More exactly, when I start the computer, the usb port is activated but et a
moment I can't determine, It's not working and it's impossible to connect any
USB-device.
When I plug an USB mouse before starting the computer, the USB mouse works until
I issue "startxfce" and then the computer stops working.
