Which is a direct result of the FHS being gross, if you ask me. Mind you, I'm
not saying I want a path as long as the default path in HP-UX. But there are
certainly sensible compromises, like in IRIX, which does have a /usr/bsd.

Hm... someone remind me again what the rationale is for Debian being strictly
FHS-compliant?
