They were initially independant; at the moment, they're (slowly)
dovetailing together. Mr. Garrett tends to lean towards "hack it until it
works" (very good for initial passes), I lean more towards "work out a
solid, stable package with minimal changes" - good for second pass, but not
so useful for first pass.
This is, of course, just my opinion.
