After a breif period of being built without network-manager support (due
to a non-bsd related issue) pidgin is now being built with
network-manager support again.
Unfortunately that means the build-depends are uninstallable on
kfreebsd-* and hence the package is out of date on the bsd
architectures. While the bsd architectures are currently being ignored
for testing transition purposes out of sync packages are still a bad thing.
network-manager is not being built because it build-depends on libiw-dev
which is part of source package wireless-tools. Attempts have been made
to build wireless-tools but it seems to require linux specific headers.
Obviously one soloution would be to build the kfreebsd-* pidgin packages
without network-manager support. Should I file a bug report asking for
that or should this be fixed further up the dependency chain? Does
anyone have any idea how difficult it would be to makde wireless-tools
build on kfreebsd or made network-manager build without it?
