This is what Petr said after asking me to revert those patches: Later we might provide sed script to alter loaded keymap into policy conforming. It together with ncurses 5.7+20100313-5 will allow to have conforming and backspace working local console. But for now it is better to provide previous state. So I guess we only need an unblock for freebsd-utils_8.1-3.1 and kfreebsd-8_8.1+dfsg-7.1.
