You will need xserver-xorg-input-mouse 1.7.2-3, which hasn't migrated to Wheezy yet, but it fixes a possible cause of that crash: http://packages.debian.org/sid/xserver-xorg-input-mouse I wouldn't bother trying Stable; I expect Wheezy to be much better as we get nearer to release time.
