Hi, I hope it's okay that I raise the severity of this; I've noticed that as Steven McDonald already said, this not only makes pstree unusable on GNU/kFreeBSD, but can also prevent a clean reboot/shutdown. (If any processes are still running at runlevel 0/6, the /etc/init.d/sendsigs script tries to use pstree to display them, which hangs). The debdiff looks like it may be too large/noisy to qualify for an unblock, so the release team may want something smaller, for upload via t-p-u. I'll see what I can do to help.
