Sorry! I was looking at wheezy versions instead of sid. This is actually already fixed in sid. The GRUB2 kernel.img and *.mod files were identical when built on linux-amd64, kfreebsd-amd64 and linux-i386 buildds. The only exception was kfreebsd-i386 where only efiemu.mod had some differences, due to having a different GCC version than the other buildds at the time. So, looking very good for reproducible builds now. (Closing bug, sorry for the noise).
