Subject: Debian SDL -- recompiled with AALib Support?
X-Scanner: exiscan for exim4 (http://duncanthrax.net/exiscan/)

As you are probably aware, there are many different projects on the
Internet based on the Debian GNU/Linux packages, including for
example Knoppix (live Linux-on-CD distribution). As the authors of these
projects sometimes don't have the time to recompile such packages as SDL
if they can just copy the latest Debian SDL package, but probably many
users would like some extra SDL drivers (like AALib) if for nothing else,
then for fun.

As maintainers of the official Debian SDL package, I would like to ask you
to include the AALib video driver in the SDL package. As far as I
understand, all you have to do is to reconfigure the SDL by typing:
./configure --enable-video-aalib

Thanks a lot.
