Hiya,
The lastest version of "timidity" now requires "libjack0.80.0-0", which in
turn requires "jackd". This last bit strikes me as curious: why does
the libjack shared library package *require* installation of the jackd
daemon? Timidity can also use aRtS, NAS, esound... and I only need one
of those on my system.
It seems like libjack0.80.0-0 should simply suggest (at most recommend)
the jackd package. If an application truly requires a jackd daemon,
it should carry the requirement itself.
Thanks,
matt m.
