Package: gaim
Version: 1:0.80-1
Severity: normal
*** Please type your report below this line ***
Hello,
I was alway using gabber to connect Jabber server. Recently I switched
to gaim, because it can hanle many different protocols at the same time.
I found, however, gaim cannot use my usual jabber server:
etsinghua.info:5222
When I connect to it, gaim will report `XML Parse error' immediately and
disconnect from it. I also tried another jabber client Psi and it can
work properly.
This server does not restrict registration and everyone can try.
Thank you.

Hi, this server has been shutdowned. This bug maybe due to the fact that
this server does not strictly obeying the jabber protocol. So this would
not be a problem if gaim does not cavil about it, ie, allowing non-XML
communicaiton. Anyway, thank you for your response.
Please close it. Thank you :-)
