Subject: lprngtool causes tcl script error
Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Package: lprngtool
Version: 1.1.1-2

When I select "Epson Stylus Color (UP)" as the printer type for a local
printer and then hit OK, a dialog box comes up titled "Error in Tcl Script"
with the following text:

Error: bad listbox index "":
must be active, anchor, end,
@x,y, or a number

My options are OK, Skip Messages, and Stack Trace. Choosing the latter
yields:

bad listbox index "": must be active, anchor, end, @x,y, or a number
    while executing
".sf.f6.list get $colindex"
    (procedure "LOCAL_select_filter" line 461)
    invoked from within
"LOCAL_select_filter .e.v10"
    invoked from within
".e.autofilter invoke"
    ("uplevel" body line 1)
    invoked from within
"uplevel #0 [list $w invoke]"
    (procedure "tkButtonUp" line 7)
    invoked from within
"tkButtonUp .e.autofilter
"
    (command bound to event)

Further, after this, the OK and Cancel buttons on the dialog to choose the
printer type and options have no effect. The only way to get out of this
dialog is to kill lprngtool completely.

This is causing me significant problems with lprngtool, as this is the type
of printer that I have. I am using Debian GNU/Linux 2.2 unstable (updated as
of 2/12/2001), kernel 2.4.1. Per apparently normal Debian installation, I
have tcl/tk 8.0.5, 8.2.3, and 8.3.2 installed.

The lprngtool package has been removed from Debian because it is
"orphaned, buggy, nearly dead upstream". See #244768 for more
information.
