Package: idsa
Version: 0.93.1-1
Severity: normal

Hello,

when using idsa as ksyslogd replacement, a replacement for klogd is also
needed because klogd won't work with idsa (/dev/log is SOCK_STREAM now).

idsaklogd is the preferred klogd replacement in terms of idsa (see also
/etc/default/idsa), but it is missing in idsa-0.93.1-1 binary package.

Workaround:
When building package from source, idsaklogd is built but left in source
tree ( .../idsa-0.93.1/syslog/idsaklogd). You can copy it to
/usr/sbin/idsaklogd to make idsa start correctly (WARNING: thus
idsaklogd is not included in Debian package management and may cause
conflicts or errors when updating packages; removing it manually before
installing bug fixed idsa package therefore is strongly recommended).

Regards,
Oliver
