Package: gaim
Version: 1.1.3-1

System- debian system with gaim, gaim-data, and gaim-dev, all version 1.1.3-1

Problem- users cannot rebuild gaim from source

apt-get update
apt-get source gaim
debian/rules binary
<choke>

The makefile (rules) "include"s /usr/share/cdbs/1/{blah,blah}.

But these files aren't in the gaim source or gaim-dev package.

Neither is there a "cdbs" package.

The result is that only people with these magic files under /usr/share
(the developers) can build gaim. This is evil! ;) ok, maybe not evil.
But it's a source bug.

I have no idea what kind of system you're on because you didn't actually
include any of that information, but gaim builds just fine on any normal
Debian sid system. apt-get build-dep will install all of the necessary
build dependencies, including cdbs, which provides the "magical" files
in /usr/share.
