Package: udev
Version: 0.053.1

udev doesn't create sg* under /dev. I have an external burner, which is
connect by usb. Without sg*-devices, i can't rip or burn cds with this
burner. Only when i run ./MAKEDEV sg, then i can use my usb burner. I
don't think that should be the right way for using a cd burner, which is
connected by usb. Because to access this kind of cd burners is by
usb-storage and that is a scsi-emulation.

Here the message in /var/log/messages

Feb 22 04:05:00 debian kernel: Attached scsi generic sg0 at scsi0,
channel 0, id 0, lun 0, type 5

But under /dev there isn't a sg0 device.
debian:/dev# ls sg*
ls: sg*: No such file or directory

I create a Workaround for me.

If I want to burn a cd, i will run ./MAKEDEV sg and set permissions.

Thanks for help!

King Regards

Johannes
