Package: squirrelmail
Version: 1:1.4.2-1
Severity: important

Sometimes squirrelmail outputs a fatal error to the browser:
<error message>
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to
allocate 128 bytes) in Unknown on line 0
</error message>
where the size of the failed allocation isn't always 128.

Any other browsers that are simultaneously used with the same account
continues to work.

This error can be easily triggered by:
1) selecting a message in a folder with a large number of messages, in my
case slightly more than 800. (I don't know if this is a prerequisite.)
2) choose a folder in the "Move to:" drop-down box.
3) move the message.
4) repeat step 3.

I my case, I have to repeat step 3 some 30 to 40 times to get the error.

I can trigger this error in any of the browsers I tried this far: Netscape
7.1, Opera 7.21 Final, Lynx 2.8.4rel.1 and Konqueror 3.1.3.

Closing, has been labeled wontfix for over a year, and not really
something we can fix.
