Package: xfce
Version: 3.8.18-2
Severity: normal

When I start xfsamba, it complains that there is no master browser. This is
weird, because my local computer is the master browser.

Looking in the View-->Diagnotics window, it looks like xfsamba calls nmblookup
with the wrong arguments:

Usage: [-?|--help] [--usage] [-B|--broadcast BROADCAST-ADDRESS] [-f|--flags]
        [-U|--unicast STRING] [-M|--master-browser] [-R|--recursion]
        [-S|--status] [-T|--translate] [-r|--root-port] [-A|--lookup-by-ip]
        [-d|--debuglevel DEBUGLEVEL] [-s|--configfile CONFIGFILE]
        [-l|--log-basename LOGFILEBASE] [-V|--version]
        [-O|--socket-options SOCKETOPTIONS] [-n|--netbiosname NETBIOSNAME]
        [-W|--workgroup WORKGROUP] [-i|--scope SCOPE] <NODE> ...
Your subnet might be SMB free, or have a win95 master browser.

So I guess this is an incompatibility between the versions, or maybe a missing
dependency. My samba is version 3.0.0beta2+3.0, but also after upgrading to
3.0.0final-1, the error is still there.

xfce has been removed from the archive (note we recommend you use xfce4)
and either this bug is now irrelevant, there have been no follow ups to
a reasonable request from the maintainer on this bug for a long time or
I've not seen this bug in xfce4 so I'm closing it.

If you want further justification feel free to discuss it with me.

If you can reproduce them in xfce4 please reopen and reassign to xfce4
(or better the component you think is buggy) or start a new bug.

Thanks,

Simon.
