Severity: normal
Hi,
I just uploaded sane-backends 1.0.15-7, which introduces a new way of
"registering" external backends to libsane. That is, to avoid
modifying dll.conf, there's now a dll.d directory in which every
package providing a backend should drop a dll.conf-like file.
In order to use this new feature, please do the following:
- depend on libsane (>= 1.0.15-7)
- install /etc/sane.d/dll.d/hpoj with this content
===== 8< cut =====
# dll.conf snippet for hpoj
#
hpoj
===== 8< cut =====
For now, the dll.conf file shipped with libsane 1.0.15-7 still
contains an entry for the hpoj backend, but this is going to change
soon (probably in sane-backends 1.0.15-8 or 1.0.16-1).
[the new hotplug scripts mentioned in my private mail will come later,
probably once hotplug-ng will be available in unstable]
Thanks for your cooperation,
JB.
