like always, we have problems, because tables in the database are=20
downsized ...

all user id are smallints (-32k -- 32k) and we already have users that=20
have id's over 40k ...

so this is quite an important bug, and we have to upgrade every database=20
scheme to use INT (unsigned ints would be better) everywhere the=20
smallints are used to store user ids.
