Hi,
I'm not quite sure if this is kdebase problem or kdemultimedia, but I
suspect kdebase. The problem is that any sounds I can configure under
kcontrol->Sounds&Multimedia->System Notification are not played.
Clicking the Play button next to the field with the filename does
nothing. I tested this with a completely new user and it still is
there. I do have sound for example from xmms or using alsaplayer. Even
the soundfiles that are setup in kcontrol can be played without any
problem. Last thing: I tried to use a script which does "artsdsp play
$@" and use this as external player for the system notification - no
effect either. There is something totally broken there.

This bug seems to be related to configuration file incompabilities between two
pre sarge versions. This is kind of out of date, so I am closing this bug
now.
