I've tried to burn a cdrom using wodim, but I get an error almost
right away or after burning for a short while. This burner has worked
fine with earlier versions of cdrecord for a couple of months ago
when I last used it.
I tried to compile the last version of the old cdrecord, but there
seems to be problem with that also, could also be that xcdroast
gives wodim specific parameters, I don't know.
The same problem occurred on an i386-based laptop so I don't think it is
a hardware problem, even if wodim/cdrecord tells me so.
I've tried with different discs and different iso-files.

This is wodim, not cdrecord. Don't expect it to behave like cdrecord in any
way, don't refer to it as "cdrecord". Send problem reports to
[EMAIL PROTECTED], don't bother Joerg Schilling with any

Hello,
there was no information sent since two months. I assume that your
problem is solved. It was not looking like a cdrkit problem anyway.
If you still can reproduce it with the current version, reopen this
report. But make sure that DMA is enabled (with hdparm) before testing.
