[1] --add == -a for --manage mode
[2] --syslog == -y for --monitor mode
My experiance is that "-a" and "--syslog" are not recognised. work
arround is to use the other options... eg: "--add" or "-y"

* Incorporate patch by upstream to fix handling of --syslog long option
