Package: lirc-modules-source
Severity: important

Hello,

All modules from lirc-modules-source couldn't be
modprobed and reporting:
FATAL: Error inserting lirc_dev
(/lib/modules/2.6.18-3-k7/misc/lirc_dev.o): Invalid module format

Maybe this bugreport is related to #404271 but i have
no .ko modules and all my builded modules are not loaded
with this error message.

dmesg output while modprobe is:
No module found in object

I was confused by Gerhard reporting that m-a worked for him when it didn't
work for me. So I purged lirc-modules-source, rm -rf
/usr/src/modules/lirc, installed the package again, built it with m-a, and
all was good. I wonder if this was an m-a caching issue, but I'm closing
the bug anyway as lirc-modules-source looks good.

Antony
