the background graphics are also lost). However xpdf displays them fine.

I tried to reproduce this problem on an etch box today and could not see
a problem, pages 24 and 25 are rendered like they are rendered in the
Acrobat Acroreader, so this problem seems to have been fixed. Closing
the bug accordingly, please reopen if you still have this problem.
