I have installed rkhunter on Etch now, but there's an error in the
update function:

vn0012:~# apt-file search check_update.sh

rkhunter searches in the wrong path for the check_update.sh script, this
makes the program not very usable.
And another little thing:
The versionstring of this package is 1.2.9-2, but rkhunter --help
displays 1.2.8.
