Package: libgl1-mesa-swx11-dev
Severity: minor
Hi,
I tried to compile arb (in non-free) and find out that it is missing
a header file GL/GLwMDrawA.h and a library libGLw.a that is provided
by libgl1-mesa-swx11-dev. Unfortunately arb does not work with
lesstif2-dev and thus I have to use libmotif-dev. If libgl1-mesa-swx11-dev
would allow libmotif as alternative (provided that this works) I
would be very happy. If not I would be in serious trouble in
maintaining arb.
Kind regards and thanks for your cooperation
Andreas.

Hi Andrea,
I am sorry but making libgl1-mesa-swx11-dev depend on lesstif || motif
is not a good idea since motif is non-free. However, another solution
might be to ask the motif maintainer to provide lesstif2-dev?
You are saying that arb works with libmotif-dev but not with
lesstif2-dev. Is there any way to debug/fix this?
By the way, if there are such differences between lesstif and motif, we
would not even be sure that libgl1-mesa-swx11 would work on top of
motif. So the depends alternative you're requested would not be
guaranteed to work.
Cheers.
Brice
