Package: mutt
Version: 1.5.13-1
Severity: normal

I wanted to set my From address to [EMAIL PROTECTED] rather than [EMAIL
PROTECTED]
According to the muttrc(5) man page, I could do this by setting the from
variable in my ~/.muttrc, but for some reason this wasn't working.

It turns out that Debian modifies /etc/Muttrc to change the default
setting of use_from to no, which thus ignores my ~/.muttrc unless I
override the system-wide setting.

1) I don't see why this is a useful thing to do. Please consider
   removing it.
2) If it is to be retained, the man page must be updated to state that
use_from defaults to off (the Debian default) rather than on
   (the upstream default)
