Package: metacity
Version: 1:2.8.1-3
Severity: normal

I use GNOME (and have panels at both the top and bottom of the screen).
I have a shortcut to start an xterm with a relatively large bitmap font,
since my eyesight does not seem to be what it used to be. But when I try
to maximize this xterm (Alt-F10), the bottom line of the terminal is cut in
half, so I only see the top half of any characters that happens to be
there. Clicking the hide button on the bottom GNOME panel does not
reveal the bottom half of the characters either, just the desktop
background.

Some earlier version of metacity sized the xterms better (made the height
a little smaller so there were no half lines). I don't remember exactly
when this changed, probably at least a month ago, I just now decided
that since it doesn't seem to fix itself, it's time to report a bug.

Thanks for following up, I'm marking the bug as done.
