Subject: ifupdown: Need ability to specify media type
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
X-Mailer: bug 3.3.7
Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Date: Tue, 19 Dec 2000 16:56:00 -0500
Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Package: ifupdown
Version: 0.6.4-1
Severity: normal

The /etc/network/interfaces file does not give any method to
specify the media type.

This comes up because I have been trying to connect two computers
via a crossover cable rather than hubbed. When connected via crossover,
it won't work unless I specify "media auto" in the ifconfig line. (You'd
think that'd be the default... but that's something to take up with the
driver author)

Hi,

These bugs were fixed in the NMUs, and should've been closed as part of
the 0.6.5 upload, but missed out.

#79999: Need ability to specify media type
#150720: interfaces file should support all ifconfig options, incl. MTU
#177896: typo in network-interfaces
#207388: dh_suidregister-is-obsolete
#213619: Please document ifdown -a behaviour correctly in the manpage
#255053: ifupdown/examples/check-mac-address.sh: [PATCH] syntax error

Closed now.

Cheers,
aj
