Since I upgraded hal from unstable to experimental, my USB-Harddisk doesn't show
up with the FAT32 label (ICYBOX) on the gnome desktop anymore, as it used to so
far.
Instead it now shows up as "59,5GB Datenträger". The mountpoint has changed from
/media/ICYBOX to /media/sda1, too.
When I fire up hal-device-manager, the volume.label property for the harddisk
is empty.
My usb-stick works fine however. Both have FAT32 filesystems.

I had a similar issue, some months ago, which was fixed in hal version 0.4.6.
The debian
bug was #271997.

Regards,
Jörgen

PS: Ubuntu breezy has the same problem.

Hi,

is the bug still reproducible with a current hal version (0.5.8.1)?
In case I don't get any more feedback, I'll close this bug in two weeks.

Cheers,
Michael
