Hello
Please upload .orig.tar.gz files not only in -1 but also in
-1~something versions as those are used in backports.org.
(I know, this is very minor severity but it just came to my mind)
bye,

I'm afraid that this is something that you need to do in dpkg-buildpackage,
as dput will just upload what dpkg-buildpackage generated.
Please see the --s[iad] command line options and also our discussion
in #367281.
Also, I'm not sure that your logic is correct:
-1~alpha1
-1~alpha2
-1~beta1
-1~pre0
-1~pre1
-1~pre2
...
-1
should have all the same source.
Based on the assessment in #367281 I'm closing this bug. Please don't
hesitate to reopen it if you believe dput's behavious should be
improved.
Kind regards
T.
