does not query the (imap) mail server for its capabilities (e.g. in "Advanced
Account Settings" "Server supports folders that contain sub-folders and
messages". This information is provided by our mail server). As a consequence,
each of our ~2000 users must change the settings manually. If users forget to
do so, the contents of their mail account gets scrambled

It seems to me iceape (which now replaces mozilla) does properly get
capabilities from IMAP servers. Closing this bug accordingly, but please
feel free to reopen it if it still occurs for you.
