I have an AddressDB.pdb file. Evolution does not handle it
directly. That's not good - no?
I used the command --
$ pdb2ldif --pdb=ans/AddressDB.pdb --dc=anspilot > anspilot.ldif
so as to convert AddressDB.pdb into anspilot.ldif, and then I fed the
resulting .ldif file evolution. He was very weird. He read the first
25 cards but stopped after that. There was no error message.
Here the program pdb2ldif is from http://uslinux.net/software; it's
not a Debian package. But I don't think it's buggy. When I look at the
generated .ldif file, it looks good. And, if there are horrible syntax
errors in this .ldif file, then evolution should _complain_ about it,
he shouldn't silently stop at the 25th entry.
reportbug promises me that MIME attachments won't work. So I won't
attach anspilot.ldif here. Feel free to send me mail in case you
find it useful.
