Package: mozilla-mailnews
Version: 2:1.7.8-1
Severity: important

Mozilla's mail tool tends to hang on trying to view, edit or send mails.
netstat revealed an unsuccessful attempt to open a connection to
localhost:111 in these cases stalling in a SYN_SENT state. Installing
the corresponding service package portmap resolved this problem. So this
is basically an unspecified and thus possibly unmet dependency.

Resolutions:
 1) remove added code depending on portmap service
 2) add dependency on portmap to package

AFAIK, there is no such requirement on portmap in iceape, which now
replaces mozilla, but feel free to reopen this bug if I'm wrong.

Thanks
