Package: gtkpod
Version: 0.99.4-1
Severity: normal

When I start gtkpod, I get a warning message that says "The following
has occured:", yet the message area is empty. On the console when this
happens, I get:

(gtkpod:13043): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_text_buffer_emit_insert: assertion
`g_utf8_validate (text, len, NULL)' failed

If I export LC_ALL=C, I see the error message, which is:

'(several random high ascii characters)/iPod_Control/iTunes/iTunesDB'
does not exist. Import aborted.

It appears that gtkpod is using an uninitialized string for the ipod's
mount point. If I look in the preferences window, I see that the mount
point is correctly set to /media/ipod. If I look in ~/.gtkpod/prefs, I
see mountpoint=/media/ipod
