this package should "Provides: apache2-mpm-prefork" because there are several
packages that depend on "apache2-mpm-worker | apache2-mpm-threadpool |
apache2-mpm-prefork | apache2-mpm-perchild" (note: no -itk in that list).
without that Provides line, if you have apache2-mpm-itk installed and try to
apt-get install one of these packages (e.g. 'gosa' or 'ldap-account-manager'
amongst others), then apt will want to install apache 1.3
alternatively, bugs should be filed against those packages for not including
apache2-mpm-itk in their list of apache2-mpm-* dependancies. it really is a
fault with them....but since apache2-mpm-itk provides the functionality of
apache2-mpm-prefork, setting a Provides line would do the job.
or maybe there should be an "apache2-mpm" virtual package which depends on any
of them.
