--- Begin Message ---Package: openoffice.org Version: 1.1.0-2 Severity: normal When I try to open an official document in MS Word format containing the logo of the organisation, I jusr see a blank rectange in place of the logo. This may have to do with the "gif" thing, but the version of openoffice distributed on the web page of openoffice.org _doesn't have this problem_ I would like to use the debian version of openoffice in a debian system, but it is very anoying when you don't have the logo of the company letter, especially whan you want to sent back the (edited) letter. I can send you the file where the logo is not displayed in oowriter (debian version) -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux guepard 2.4.22-1-686 #6 Sat Oct 4 14:09:08 EST 2003 i686 Locale: LANG=fr_FR, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR Versions of packages openoffice.org depends on: ii dictionaries-common 0.15.7 Common utilities for spelling dict ii openoffice.org-bin 1.1.0-2 OpenOffice.org office suite binary ii openoffice.org-debian-files 1.1.0-2+1 Debian specific parts of OpenOffic ii openoffice.org-l10n-fr [openo 1.1.0-2 French language package for openof -- no debconf information

They didn't care about the gif/lzw patent problems. Anyway, if it was the gif problem (you said that the image was a gif so I assume that) this was fixed in this upload long ago.: openoffice.org (1.1.2-2) unstable; urgency=low * New patches: - readd-lzwc.diff: readd LZW code now that the patent expired everywhere (closes: #172181) [RE] [...] Closing appropriately. Reopen if it still happens for you.. Regards, Rene
